“It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light”-Aristotle
Man's goal is and will always remain the same: to know himself, to understand and learn how to live his life. But in order to do this, it is inevitable to ask yourself what is “good” and what is “bad”.
The problem of good and bad comes in a way unique to man and it appears when we reflect on the relationship between goals and the state of affairs. From a moral point of view, the factors that contribute to the achievement of the goal are called good, and the others are called bad. These two terms serve as the foundation of judgment, when we do good and when we do bad. Often these two concepts are interpreted differently by each person, according to their liking. We must admit that it is easier for us to do harm than good, although personally we would like to have only good things happening to us.
A man can choose to be “good” by consciously feeding himself with positive thoughts and actions. In the same way, the “bad” man is the one who chooses to have thoughts in his inner dialogue that lead to destruction, anger, jealousy and envy. The next step is to put it into practice through conscious actions, behaviors and actions that come from the thoughts he has. It is easy for a man to become "bad", maybe in the family where he grew up he saw models of aggression, anger, abuse; so he ended up copying them. Maybe he had to face the bullying of others and he built defense mechanisms to dominate others and to achieve his goals.
In every person there is a sense of these two terms, we keep a kind of inventory of our thoughts and deeds. With every negative action or thought, we move further and further away from ourselves, somehow we become numb inside and live in a permanent illusion.
Therefore, a man can be good if he wants to, but for that he needs awareness and responsibility. A stressful life is a difficult one. A life of inner peace and harmony is the easiest kind of existence. In this situation, the main condition for acquiring a peaceful mind is the effort of restructure your thinking in the sense of a relaxed attitude of accepting peace, the other path is to live in conscious or unconscious suffering.
