Exercising reduces stress and anxiety, because hormones such as endorphin and serotonin are released. Common activities such as jogging or simply taking a walk bring benefits, as the brain produces this substances which improve our mood. The human body reacts in different ways to stress, but it is usually associated with tension. Exercising is a helpful way to relax your body and relieve stress.

Working out can also improve our capacity to focus. When doing a sport, all the attention is directed towards the present action. This improves our ability to concentrate on what we are doing, one that we will definitely be using in many aspects of our life. Exercising does also improve our self-esteem. Exercising also helps make memory better and it is thought to also improve brain health, because it increases the heart rate and makes more oxygen reach the brain. Some hormones released while exercising are also associated with better memory.
